Breaking Bad follows its protagonist, Walter White, from his early days as a struggling chemistry teacher who gets diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at age 50. Walter initially resorts to selling methamphetamine in order to secure his family’s future before the expected time of his death, but later puts his knowledge of chemistry to use in manufacturing crystal meth.
