The story follows high school chemistry teacher Walter White who, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, decides to start producing methamphetamine to provide for his family (he has a son from a prior marriage). He teams up with one of his former students, Jesse Pinkman, and together they produce and sell the drug. White is also close to Jesse’s brother-in-law, DEA agent Hank Schrader. The series tracks the shows central characters as they come into conflict with low level drug dealers, drug cartels, and police while the stakes grow progressively higher.
