Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who discovers that he has terminal lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He teams up with Jesse Pinkman, a drug dealer desperate to get out of the business, in order to cook and sell meth in order to secure his family’s future before he dies. The show centers on Walter’s character development from a mild-mannered chemistry teacher (and family man) into a ruthless player of the drug trade.
