Hi! On Friday, March 29, I watched a TV Show and product placement was spotted: Grand Marnier Liqueur Magazine Cover Advertising in Friends Season 6 Episode 12 “The One With the Joke” (2000).

The show is shot using traditional sitcom layout, with the characters on the right and left sides of the screen facing the middle. This keeps the action centered in a traditional TV way (as opposed to movies where center stage is reserved for important stuff). In addition, there are usually very few camera cuts during an episode. You can watch three to five Friends episodes back-to-back and see almost no variation in camera angles and cuts throughout.
