Pepsi, known as “The Choice of a New Generation” Pepsi-Cola was created in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, a North Carolina pharmacist. The original formulation of the drink contained caffeine and other additives that were controversial at the time. In 1898, The “Brad’s Drink” brand name was changed to “Pepsi-Cola” and it was marketed as a “Brain Tonic and Intellectual Beverage”.
