Hi! On Saturday, February 9, I watched a Movie and product placement was spotted: Proton Car Audio in RoboCop 2 (1990).

I found this page after doing a google search for “Proton” and “RoboCop,” because I spotted the Proton D540 receiver in the original 1987 RoboCop at the 9m30s mark. There are 6 Proton components visible at 9m17s, installed in the video wall during the scene when the first RoboCop product is unveiled. There are two D540 receivers, and then two more pairs of matching Proton components that I can’t identify. Thought you would be interested to know that about the original film!

Correction: D540 Integrated Amplifier, not receiver. One of the other components in the shot appears to be the 440 Stereo Tuner.
