Just watched this movie and got my hopes up thinking it was a new avalanche. Then I found this and found out it was all electric. 😔 What a letdown.
Came to find an avalanche it’s a Silverado EV, That old school Chevy guy woulda never bought a battery powered truck.
And somehow in the movie Otto DIES before the Silverado EV is even on sale!! People get your timelnes straight!!

Just watched A Man Called Otto (2023) last night then went to look for the truck featured conspicuously right there at the end. First, since this film is a work of fiction (a very good one at that) the suspension of disbelief is a must when viewing it. So Otto gets his hands on an advanced prototype or pre-production model truck. Big deal. It’s very interesting how Otto turns over a new leaf to embrace things he would not have prior to his epiphany toward the movie’s end.
Secondly, I saw some of the plot elements coming after Otto was able to reconnect with his humanity by his contact with Marisol, Tommy, the youngsters, Malcolm, Jimmy and The Cat. The truck is just the cherry on the ice cream sundae in the film. Suspension of disbelief.
